The Mehliskopfturm (elev. 1010 m) is the oldest stone look-out tower in the northern Black Forest. Mehliskopf is a mountain in the northern Black Forest at the upper end of the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse between Sand and Hundseck. The tower is not very high and is located on the western edge of the summit plateau. The Mehliskopfturm was erected in 1880 by the Schwarzwaldverein and has since been renovated several times. It consists of a stone base with a wooden, covered observation deck offering a fine view of the Rhine plain and the peaks of the northern Black Forest. Entry to the look-out tower is free.
